Cars zipping from left to right like the busy streets of New York City, the fashion focus of the States. I look left then right then left again, following the cars with flash fast vision. Then out of nowhere I grasp a hand that is reaching out to me, and just like that I’m at the beach, watching the calming waves – crashing in and out, bringing new seashells to the shore, while wiping evidence that those very shells replaced others. In that daze, I’m handed a book, a sketchbook at that. My creativity starts flowing on paper, drawing fashion designs and henna designs, and random scribing lists of projects I someday want to complete. Before I know it the beach evolves to a library, and the sketchbook – you go it – a textbook, filled with words and diagrams. I begin to make flashcards to study for the test I have in… WHAT?! 15 minutes? Urr Urr Urr – and my hand reaches for the alarm, that of course isn’t there because I’m sitting in class, and the bell just went off. It’s lunch period in… high school? So I jump in my car, and before I know it I’m parking. Nehh – I look down and I’m horseback riding, something I haven’t done in years. We’re riding on the side of the road, and all of a sudden there’s a flash of light, and I panic. I panic because I’m on the runway and this is my first time doing the catwalk, rocking to Krewella’s Alive… through one ear bud, while I’m standing at the Union Terrace. My camera’s cupped in my hands and I’m looking through the lens, at the next Fashionista that will be featured on the ACCESSORIES REPORT this summer!
Hi I’m Saira, and that was a little field trip inside my mind. I’m always thinking of one hundred things at once – where I want to go, what I want to do, the projects I want to start and the past that’s gotten me where I am today. Just as chaotic that may have seemed, yea, my bedroom is that, but worse. Whether it’s a Sporty Spice or Posh, snowy or sunny, I always want comfortable clothes. I’m all about the cozy zip-up and shorts, yet, slipping on a pair of heels with a dress never sells short. My latest fashion favorite has to be my double wrap watch. It makes every outfit classy, and needless to say, really helps when my phone dies. I’ve also recently tried the all-across bangs with my grown-out bob. Although, it gets hard to manage at times, I would never regret the trial. It’s a cute summer look that gives every outfit an edge.
