Hello Fashionistas!
My name is Sahar, and I am currently a fourth year Graphic Design student at Northeastern University. I was born in Iran, raised in Canada and currently live in the U.S. One thing I know to be true about myself is that I have always secretly had a passion for style and fashion, and I am excited to finally have the opportunity to blog about it.
One of the things that I love most about fashion is that it can be used as a tool of self-expression. Culture definitely plays a big role in my sense of style. Coming from an entirely different country like Iran, I enjoy merging what inspires me from the culture with my day-to day-looks. From this, I can say that my style has definitely evolved depending on the places I have lived.
As an official Style Guru, I hope to bring light onto looks that may sometimes go unnoticed and get a better understanding on what inspires others when heading out the door. Describing my own style is a bit difficult because I think it is constantly changing. I tend to go with simple monochromatic colors because I know I can dress them up with accessories depending on where I am going.
For this look, I chose a short beige dress and paired it with my favorite oxfords. I also love the layered necklace look. And last but not least, I am wearing my black backpack that can fit just about anything inside.
