Hey everyone! My name is Ruby and I am currently in my second year at California State University Monterey Bay. I am studying communication design with a possible minor in computer science. I would describe my style as bohemian with edgy or modern twists. I love thrift shopping or shifting through endless consignment stores to find old unique pieces to mix with new things you would see trending. In this outfit, you can see how I channeled both of these elements.
For my first day of school outfit, I had to work with the ever-changing weather. Once the fog burns off, so does my coat. Here, I am wearing navy corduroy overalls that are great for transforming your outfits from summer to fall. Since the sides come down low, I was able to wear a crop top with it. If it was in the winter, I would wear it with a long sleeve, tights and over the knee boots (which are super on trend right now). For the rest of my outfit I am wearing a three-quarter length sleeve, off-the-shoulder grey crop top from Topshop, which I am in love with. Then I threw on this beautiful cream coat from Nordstrom that adds a sleek business feel to the look, which is great for the first week back at school. My boots are super versatile for any outfit and are from H&M.
