STYLE GURU BIO: Rosseli Guerrero

Hello Fashionistas/os gang! My name is Rosseli Guerrero. This is my first semester being part of CollegeFashionista and I couldn’t be more excited to share all the unique styles at Boise State University (BSU). This is my sophomore year at BSU (Go Big Blue!) and I am pursuing a degree in communications. There is no better way to share fashion trends than to talk about them and I believe that with a communications degree, this come in handy with the fashion industry.

My interest in fashion began when I was in ninth grade and took a class called young living. In this class, they taught us how to sew and that sparked my interest about fashion. The fact that I could create my own fashion styles was amazing to me. All I needed was some good fabric and a sewing machine. When I felt like I had finally mastered sewing, I went to the store and bought a sketch book in order to sketch different outfits to make later. Let’s just say that sewing a sports bag was very different from sewing a dress. Although I wasn’t able to make my own outfits, it made me realize I didn’t need to make my clothing by hand in order for them to be my own unique style. Fashion is a form of expression and in order for it to be my own trend, I just needed to be me.

My style varies all the time. I can go from girly-girl to punk, it all depends on my mood. One piece of clothing that I need to have in my closet though, is a leather jacket, because you can wear them with anything and look fabulous. They are stylish and give that sexy badass look. In order to complete my outfit I wore a sheer blouse and leather boots.

I am very excited to be a part of the Guru Gang and can’t wait to share all the great fashion around my campus!
