STYLE GURU BIO: Robyn Bell

Hey there, Fashionistas/os! My name is Robyn Bell and I’m currently finishing my last semester studying journalism at Ryerson University in the heart of downtown Toronto, Canada.

This is my second semester with College Fashionista and I couldn’t be more excited to get back to covering the amazing style at Ryerson.

I love Toronto, but its weather drives me crazy. Coming from Vancouver Island, we didn’t get much snow or even sunlight, so winter in the city can be a shock to my system.

I find I often get into a style rut during the winter monthssame coat, same shoes, same outer appearanceso I look forward to finding new ways to keep my look interesting.

To keep warm, I’ve been playing around with unconventional layers and different outfit combinations to spice up my wardrobe.

I paired a grey turtleneck with a blue plaid crop-top and black suede skirt with a gold zipper. To play off the detailing in the skirt, I popped on a pair of gold loafers with wide cubed heels, some dangly gold earrings and a pair of gold cat-eye sunglasses. I topped the look off with my camel coat.

As this is the last semester of my undergrad, I plan to make the most of it by getting myself out to several concerts, art shows, and Toronto events. I’ll be working at my school’s publication, The Ryersonian, and I’m excited to get some hands-on newsroom experience.

I’m sad to say goodbye to university, but I’m looking forward to all that’s to come in the next few months.
