STYLE GURU BIO: Rinette Bondoc

Hello my fellow fashion enthusiasts! I know we all can agree that this summer just flew by but with all endings come awesome beginnings- like how excited I am to start my second semester as a Style Guru this fall. I’m ever appreciative to have another opportunity to share my articles on such an amazing platform like CollegeFashionista and I can’t wait to continue this journey with such a talented group.

To share more about myself- I am now entering into my last year of college on my quest to earn my Bachelor of Science in Fashion Marketing. So, my days usually consist of going to class as well as working at my dad’s sign and graphic shop here in San Jose, CA as his production manager. My wardrobe almost always consists of transitional, staple pieces that equal comfort and style. Perfect for school and working long days. Versatile garments are always my go-to because of all the options you have when it comes to pairing. No matter how early my first class is, I always make sure I give myself enough time to create a look that’s put together in order to inspire me for the busy day ahead. Since nothing says good morning like being able to put on a cool, new outfit to start the day off right. Something I know we can all relate to.

My favorite fashion bloggers still include Aimee Song, Julie of Sincerely, Jules and Arielle Charnas of Something Navy. I love their ability to put together effortless looks incorporating all of the latest trends but with a classic twist which is what I love to think about when putting together outfits. My style in general can range from super classic and clean cut to very dark and minimalistic. Just like in my monochromatic look shown featuring a staple black jersey cotton top and black ripped jeans. Paired with my black wide brimmed hat, Dolce Vita platform slip-on shoes and Quay sunglasses.

Fashion continues to be my inspiration as I learn more and more about the industry. I continue to be motivated by my family as well as others and hope to constantly grow and broaden my knowledge further as I make my way.

To carry on, I am especially stoked about this semester since fall is my favorite season when it comes to styling and the weather in general. I always look forward to when that first chill hits the air, since it means time to experiment with new cozy, cold weather looks. I can’t wait to be able to share them with you along with the amazing looks I spot on my campus this semester.

Until next time Fashionistas/os and always remember to “Live the life you love….in style.”
