STYLE GURU BIO: Rhea Wade

Hi Fashionistas/os! I am so excited to have the opportunity to write for you guys this semester, and I can’t wait to share my love of fashion and beauty with everyone! Before we get started, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.

My name is Rhea Wade, and I am a small-town Missouri girl that uprooted herself and went to the South. I currently am studying fashion and textile management at North Carolina State University (Go Pack!), and I am hoping to graduate in the fall of 2017! I support high heels, bold lipstick and coffee, and I firmly believe that if a women has those three things, she can conquer the world.

My number one passion in life is fashion, and it has been my creative outlet since I was old enough to start picking out my own clothes. I use fashion every day to show the world who I am, and the clothes I wear give me the confidence to take on the world every morning. Blair Waldorf couldn’t have said it better when she stated that fashion is the most powerful art there is.

My mother, a.k.a. the most incredible woman in the world, definitely has to receive credit for instilling a love of fashion in me at a young age. It didn’t matter if she was just going to the grocery store or taking me to a dentist appointment, she would put on her makeup and heels and look absolutely fabulous. I always wanted to be just like her, and because of her example, one day I might be able to get on her level.

My style is very eclectic. I take inspiration from my surroundings and mood, which has resulted in a very diverse closet. For this look, I wore a tribal printed maxi dress with a pair of fall inspired heels. I accessorized the look with my favorite hoops and layered a cutout choker with a Kendra Scott pendant necklace.
