STYLE GURU BIO: Regan Fischer

Hello everyone, my name is Regan Fischer, and I attend the Savannah College of Art and Design. I hope to pursue a career in fashion merchandising. Although that is the path I am currently on, I have a deep love for every part of the fashion industry. In part with merchandising, I love to write, model, style and learn about fashion and art history. With my own personal style, I will try anything once!

Since embarking on my journey to becoming a Fashionista, I have tried many different looks: preppy, tomboy, super girly, and then there was the Hot Topic phase. Now I have become pretty confident in the look I have developed. On a normal day, I will wear something extremely feminine, like a lacy blouse, but juxtapose that with something edgy like a leather pant. I want to show my femininity through my clothes but also show my love for the grunge era.

My inspirations in the fashion industry are four major players. First is Rachel Zoe; she is the woman who prompted my interest into styling. I admired her tenacity while watching her show on the Style Network as well as her ability to juggle designing, styling and solidifying her own brand. Anna Wintour is who I hope to be someday. She never backs down from who she is and has one of the greatest jobs I could ever think of. From one article she prints, Wintour has the power to change the upcoming season’s trend. Raf Simmons is my favorite designer. He mainly worked on developing captivating minimalist ready-to-wear pieces, and then took it upon himself to run the design for Dior. Although he has now stepped down from that position, I have no doubts his next endeavor will be as equally grand. Cara Delevingne is my everyday-look queen. She has an impeccable sense of style, and with every piece she puts on, it instantly becomes a part of her image. She is what I hope to look like when I get dressed in the morning.

The outfit I have chosen to feature below is sort of my uniform. When I can’t decide on an outfit, I throw on a loose tank top, my leggings, my Steve Madden combat boots and a flannel button-up to tie the look together.
