STYLE GURU BIO: Rebecca Schwartz

Since I began attending college at Elon University, I have definitely seen an evolution in my fashion sense. I have been surrounded by so many Fashionistas that have expressed their own style in a way that has inspired me to try new things. I have noticed that a lot of the things I tend to wear now are a little bit more bohemian-chic as opposed to the summery, Florida clothes I grew up in. I have seen my style drift away from bright clothes and sandals to looser fitting clothing in more muted tones. This is change is apparent from my first Style Guru Bio to this one!

As I am back in Florida for my holiday break, I’m able to dress warmer than I can when I’m at school. In these photos, I’m wearing a fringe top from Free People with a pair of H&M’s boyfriend jeans. My comfortable slip on shoes are from Steve Madden and my go-to black purse is from Coach. The whole outfit is tied together with a statement necklace from a local boutique and some dainty earrings. This look is perfect for mild/warm weather which means it’s perfect for a Florida “winter.” The best part of this look is that it’s easy to dress up (with a pair of wedges) or make it warmer (with a jacket and booties). It’s so versatile that it can be worn in basically any environment.

Style evolution is something that I used to be afraid of, but now I realize that it’s a beautiful something that I will now embrace as the fashion changes come my way! Don’t be afraid to step out of your fashion comfort zone; I guarantee you won’t regret it! Until next time, stay rad and happy new year!
