STYLE GURU BIO: Rebecca Oestreicher

Hello, fashion lovers! My name is Rebecca Oestreicher, and I am thrilled to begin this semester as a Style Guru!  Prior to what I can remember, clothing has captivated me. When I was brought into a retail setting as a toddler, my mother would push me in a stroller. She always mentions how I would pop each of my hands out of the stroller and touch each of the articles of clothing that would hang from the displays. From then, she always knew clothes would be a vital part of my life growing up. From the age of four, I began picking out my own outfits.

Not only do I work in a small retail boutique, but attend the Fashion Institute in Manhattan, where I will be entering my second semester. Growing up 30 minutes away from the city, I can say I always knew I wanted to be a part of the concrete jungle. The plethora of different styles, people and even architecture inspires me in a multitude of different ways. The color black has become a staple of my wardrobe, and I definitely will not stop wearing it until there is a darker color. Everything from faux fur jackets to studded shoes, defines the eclectic taste I have come to love.  While this is the color and edgy style that gives me the most confidence to conquer the New York City streets, I can’t wait to be inspired by each and every one of my fellow fashion addicts.

I’m so excited to take this journey and introduce everyone to the styles I am drawn to, as well as reading all about you fabulous Fashionistas and Fashionistos. Stay chic, everyone.
