STYLE GURU BIO: Rebecca Golub

Hey there! My name is Rebecca Golub and I am a sophomore at Marist College. I major in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and I minor in Fashion Merchandising. Some classes that I’m excited to take this semester are ‘Sustainability in Fashion’ and The ‘Arab-Israeli Conflict’. I’m excited to take these classes because I think they will help me to gain insight in the ethical conflicts in the fashion industry’s garment production conditions as well as the Arab-Israeli Conflict from the Arab viewpoint. Outside of class, I hold the position of Director of Chapter Advancement on the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) executive board for Marist College and I am the Secretary of Fashion Inc., Marist’s fashion club.

A few adjectives to describe my personality are bubbly, honest, ambitious and comical. I spend my free time listening to music, watching Netflix, scoping out street style on the ever so fashion-forward Marist campus and hanging out with friends. This semester, I plan on writing a fashion blog, so keep an eye out for that!

As for my style, it changes per occasion/my mood. In other words, my wardrobe is very versatile in the sense that I always like to have a few items in my closet to pull off almost any look from boho to preppy to edgy. For this look, I chose to wear a floral French Connection sundress , a moonstone silver ring and Tory Burch sandals .

My favorite brand is alice + olivia because it’s a colorful, daring brand, never afraid to be avant-garde. For the resort 2016 collection, the brand took the seasons and made it it’s own by incorporating fringe, pleats, gauchos and high-waisted flare skirts. Furthermore, my favorite collection of the fall 2015 couture collections is the elegant Elie Saab collection because of its peekaboo, intricate designs.

I hope you enjoy my articles! Feel free to give me any feedback; I’d really appreciate it! Thanks!
