Hello everyone, Rachel here! I am a senior at Florida State University majoring in Retail Merchandising and Product Development. Writing from Tallahassee, FL, I am thrilled to be sharing my first article with you all! Being a Florida native for 22 years, I love stones that give me positive energy, wandering outside and hunting for those vintage gems.
I enjoy culture, food, fashion, photo-shoots and DIY projects. One of my biggest influences on fashion is music. Music has molded my fashion and morphed my style. One of my favorite quotes is, “Music fuels my style.” Music brings color into the room and flight to the mind. Sometimes I listen to music and let it guide me into a journey of creation with my own everyday outfits. There are many different types of funky beats and instrumentals that guide my mind, body and soul resulting in outfits that represent my true inner goddess.
The way I dress represents my life style and who I am as an individual. I am always looking for the freshest trends and the newest movements in street style and boho fashion, and I am constantly trying to fuel my ideas from fashion culture. This summer it’s all about the flow for me. As shown above, I chose to wear this dainty lace tunic; that can be worn either as a dress or tunic, but I decided to wear it with my favorite magic denim bell bottoms. They give me legs for days! My accessories always make my outfit. So to add a little bohemian style, I like to top my outfits off with a vintage hat!
I am excited to be your newest Style Guru for CollegeFashionista in the WHAT TO WEAR section every Thursday for summer 2014. Needless to say, I cannot wait to show you all what fashion is through my eyes. Look out Fashionistas, I’m coming for ya.
