Hi Fashionistas/os! My name is Priya Sharma, and I am a junior at the Rutgers Business School. I have many dreams and aspirations, but for now you will all see me as your Style Guru at CollegeFashionista.
I was never the Fashionista from the start, but that changed during my sophomore year of high school. I grew to love fashion whether it was admiring celebrities, both Hollywood and Bollywood, to adoring magazines like Vogue. Furthermore, I started to follow many fashion icons and inspirations out there as I could, especially on Instagram. My fashion sense is therefore a blend of the latest fashion trends, style techniques of various icons and a mix of Priya Sharma.
Fashion truly comes from within. You can like something at the store on a display, but it is up to you to reflect your personality and style. For example, whether it is hipster, preppy or even casual, the power is within you, my friend.
This is the versatility about fashion because each person has the ability to show his or her beauty and uniqueness through their respective outfits and accessories.
My runway inspiration for this look is from the Zuhair Murad resort 2015 fashion collection as he goes for “safari-chic” within his work. I believe that a cargo jacket and cool sunglasses are go-to summer attire, especially for a day filled with adventure and style!
