Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Poppy Anantachai. This is my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I had so much fun last semester that I had to do it again. I am 21 years old and I am from Thailand. I’ve been living in the U.S. for six years now. I love having two families in Thailand and America. I know I can always count on them. My families are the biggest supporters and I wouldn’t be doing what I am now without them.
I am a junior at Kent State University majoring in fashion merchandising. I love everything about fashion and very excited to learn more about it from other Style Gurus. If I have to say what my style is I would have to say it has become more minimal. I would consider it a New York street style, however, I do love dressing myself in different styles.
My experience as a Style Guru last semester taught me to become more confident. It taught me to become who I am and to choose my own future. I am proud of who I become and I am so glad that I decide to follow my dream of working in a fashion industry. This internship is just a beginning, but it will definitely help me get closer to my goal.
I chose a comfortable T-shirt dress that I actually got from a boutique store in Thailand and paired it with my adidas Super Stars. If I could marry a pair of shoes, it would have to be these. They are my absolute favorites because they are so stylish and comfortable. Also, the stripes on them match really well with the stripes on the T-shirt dress. I decided to tie a denim button-up shirt to make the outfit look more chic. I added a white cap, white and black triangle earrings and my favorite pair of sunglasses to finish off the look.
