STYLE GURU BIO: Paula Volos

Well hello there once again, CollegeFashionista babes! The time to introduce myself has come again. For those of you who already know me and who have already read my past articles, I’d like to take the time to say that you’re absolutely #RAD for being here on your own free will and for taking the time out of your day to deal with my annoying blabbering. For those of you who don’t know me and are just now stumbling upon this and actually continue reading on, my name is Paula Volos and this is my… Um… Well…  Okay, I’ve officially lost count of my STYLE GURU BIOS. The point is, I’m a returning Style Guru that’s been here for—let’s just say—a while.

Let’s stick to the basics. I’m 21 years old, and I just finished my junior year at CUNY Queens College, where I’m double majoring in media studies and English. I’m lucky enough to be living in the most beautiful city in the world, New York, New York, and after college I’m crossing my fingers to somehow break into the fashion industry (#WeGotThis). In a nutshell, I’m the girl who’s obsessed with her shoes and bags, who will never leave the house without lipstick or huge sunglasses on, whose phone is practically glued on her, who will never say no to pizza or iced lattes, who will probably chase you down to get the perfect Snapchat or Instagram post and who will almost never be seen wearing clothes that aren’t black (Yes, the photos above were taken on a very, very rare occasion—trust me). I’m a huge lover of leather, fur and vintage items, and my style can overall be described as classy and elegant but also edgy at the same time. I call it “Uptown Girl With an Edge,” as it kinda is the only accurate name for it. Sums it all up? Yup, this is pretty much Paula.

This summer I’ll be in the beautiful, teeny-tiny, Mediterranean island called Cyprus, and just like last summer, I’m super excited to be reporting about the different styles and trends there. Fashion is something extremely universal, so getting the opportunity to witness it in a completely different light across the world and being able to share it with you guys sounds just about perfect to me. Look for my articles once a month—I’ll try to keep them as little annoying as I possibly can. Then again, where’s the fun in talking about something you love in a formal way? I hope you’ll enjoy my articles as much as I’ll enjoying working on them. Let’s have a #RAD and fashionable summer!
