STYLE GURU BIO: Paige Graham

Hi Fashionistas/os! My name is Paige Graham and I have just finished my freshman year at Virginia Tech, which is crazy to me because I feel like I just moved into my dorm! Although I may be majoring in Public Relations rather than Fashion Design, I have been crazy about the fashion world ever since I was little. I remember sitting on my living room couch with my mom when I was just in elementary school, watching episode after episode of Project Runway and What Not to Wear, all the while picking out my favorite and least favorite outfits and ever since then, I have been hooked.

For anyone who has been to Virginia Tech or Blacksburg, Virginia for that matter, knows that it would probably not be considered a hub for fashion, in fact we may actually have more cows than people (just kidding.) To be honest, I was skeptical to attend Tech because I thought that because of the more rural demographic, the school would lack people who share my same love of fashion. It turns out that my previous thought could not be farther from the truth! I am constantly amazed about all of the fun outfit combinations that I see my classmates sporting while walking from class to class.

I play for Virginia Tech’s Division I women’s lacrosse team, but when I’m not running around in shorts and T-shirts I can be found in anything from more bohemian style to preppy to something a little more minimalist looking. This summer my favorite trends are earthy colors, bold prints and bright whites (really anything that brings out a good tan.) I believe that no outfit should go without jewelry, and I love pairing vintage and newer jewelry together for a really fun result. In my pictures above, I have paired my favorite pair of cut-offs with a white cross-back shirt and my white halter bralette underneath. To bring the outfit together, I threw on my favorite cross-body bag, my white Converse high-tops, and of course, a mix of fun jewelry to top it off.

Besides some weekly travels, I will be spending most of this summer living at the beach and hope to give you all the best outfits that this part of the East Coast has to offer. When I’m not laying out trying to catch some sun, I will be scouting out Fashonistas/os so keep your eyes out for me. Thanks for reading and here’s to a fashionable summer of 2015!
