STYLE GURU BIO: Olivia London

My name is Olivia London, a junior at Saint Vincent College studying communication with minors in marketing and graphic design. Saint Vincent is a small Catholic college located in western Pennsylvania. I love the beauty of our campus, and the friendliness of everyone on it. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, and it is one of my favorite places to be (other than the beach). My hobbies include surfing the web, hiking, applying makeup, exploring new places, and crafting. I am so excited to share the style of my campus as well as my own!

Putting together an outfit was always my favorite part of any occasion. As a youngster, I was awfully bold with my fashion. I remember once layering blue leggings underneath khaki shorts with pink Converse high-tops, and a polo to top the whole outfit off. I felt like a million bucks. The reason why I remember this is hearing another mom say something along the lines of: “Wow, she really is confident with what she puts on her body.” Although this could’ve been taken negatively, considering she was dissing my strangely beloved outfit for an October Saturday afternoon, I always kept this moment in my mind. It reminds me that confidence is the most crucial part of an outfit.

I am the type of girl who likes what she likes… and then proceeds to buy it in every color. Right now what I like, well what I love rather, is mock-neck tops and booties. Pair these two items with some dark jeans and I feel invincible. I keep things simple; I wear the same monogrammed necklace and bracelet paired with my gold Coach watch almost everyday. I also love paring makeup looks with outfits. No matter how hard I try, every morning I stand in front of the mirror and tell my self I am just going to apply little to no eyeliner. Then I end up applying wings…almost everyday.

In this look, I paired one of my favorite pairs of booties, a chiffon ruffle-mock-neck blouse and my tan winter coat. This is my favorite type of outfit because it is easy to throw on, but you look like you have yourself together. Along with the outfit I paired my typical jewelry: my gold watch and silver monogrammed bracelet. I also caved and had to apply a wing to my eyes with my go-to eyeliner.

Remember, your outfit is only as good as how you feel.
