Hi Fashionistas/os, my name is Olivia Gracey and I am a senior at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. I am majoring in communications with a concentration in public relations. This is my first semester writing as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, and I am so excited to be a part of the Style Guru team!
Being from Pennsylvania and going to college in North Carolina has really broaden my horizons in fashion and the way people dress in different parts of the country. Kendra Scott jewelry, Jack Rogers sandals and Lily Pulitzer are some of the fashion staples in North Carolina. Before I went to college, I had no idea what Jack Rodgers was, but over the past four years I have grown to like the different styles in the South.
I have always had a passion for fashion. This past semester, I started to take fashion merchandising classes as electives and my love for fashion grew stronger! Last year when I used to write for The Odyssey Online, I would always write articles about the latest fashion trends or fashion’s new “it girls.” This is what brought me here to CollegeFashionista to further my writing in the fashion world.
I’d describe my style as boho-chic. One of my favorite stores to shop at is Free People. I love the description of the ideal Free People girl. I would say my style evolves from tomboy to romantic to comfortable and chic.
