STYLE GURU BIO: Olivia Brink

Hello Fashionistas! My name is Olivia, and I’m from Portland, Oregon. I’m so excited for my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am a student at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. Currently, I am halfway through my sophomore year studying merchandising management. I have always been interested in fashion, but became even more engrossed when I starting working for Nordstrom this last summer. It has always been a dream of mine to for work for the company, and I have loved it since.

Quite honestly, my style changes as often as the seasons. It really all depends on my mood. Although, as I grow older, I have seen my style become more minimalistic. I seem to be more attracted to European fashion icons, neutral colors, and a more classic look. I believe that clothing is the easiest way to express who you are. Growing up, my parents always encouraged me to express my style and represent myself in a positive way. I have definitely carried that into adulthood and always try to look my best.

This look is something I would wear on my day off or out to lunch with a friend. It’s perfect for walking downtown or running errands. For this simple winter look, I paired a trendy black shirt with a light blue jean jacket. The outfit is kept casual but still trendy. For an accessory, I wore my black leather backpack. This bag is by far one of my favorite pieces. I finished the outfit with some white sneakers for comfort—any day I’m not working, you’ll find me in sneakers to try and save my feet from any further misery. This look is going to be a go-to on some warmer winter days!
