Hi there darlings! My name is Nimia Cabrera and I am a senior graduating from Louisiana State University. This is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am excited to share with you guys what some of our more stylish tigers wear around campus. As a clothing design student, CollgeFashionista is the perfect opportunity to capture styles that stand out and share them without having to think about their construction. Woot, Woot!
When it comes to my style, it has been a long time project. I have always loved dressing other people; it came easy, unlike dressing myself. In Louisiana coming from a public school meant wearing uniforms, every day. In addition to uniforms, most of my friends have always been guys, making identifying my own style take a little longer than it should have. It took time, but after my freshman year in college was over, I had learned to cater to my body type (curvy). Throughout my college years, I have been able to understand my style and myself better.
When it comes to my style, this depends on how I feel that day. Yes, I know, you are problem like what? Well, I might wake up and feel Old Hollywood or maybe sporty chic; that day my outfit will reflect my mood. The day captured in the photos was a gloomy day, and I felt simply neutral. So I dressed with a pair of mid-rise jeans to help with my long looking torso, and I paired it with a ¾ sleeve white blouse. I added a pair of belted booties and my newest satchel. The outfit is simple and we all have neutrals to pull of a neutral look.
