Now that I’ve officially started my sophomore year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I couldn’t be more excited to show you all the fabulous Fashionista/os on campus. After finishing my first year of college, my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista and leaving the greatest city in this state (Chicago), I’m on an even better hunt to find the most fashionable students here in Champaign.
A new semester means a new season, which also means new clothes! Heading back to school has always been one of my favorite times for wardrobe improvement. I’m eager to see what the Fashionista/os here at U of I have in store for me this semester. I’m thrilled to be able to share my findings through Thursday’s WHAT TO WEAR column.
I’m currently in the College of Business where I’m majoring in Marketing with a minor in Spanish. I would define my style as a perfect balance between feminine and edgy but still classic. When I put outfits together, I definitely enjoy standing out against the crowd. When it comes to the business school, I get to show off my personal sense of style while wearing a suit but still looking professional.
My style is endlessly evolving but every outfit I wear is consistently “me.” I love creating outfits where every piece of my ensemble is paired together for a reason. Some of my fashion inspiration comes from kate spade new york, Marc Jacobs, rag & bone, Lauren Conrad, J.Crew and Gossip Girl (I like to believe my style is a mix between Blair and Serena).
The rest of my free time is spent writing fashion articles for the Her Campus branch at Illinois. I’m also an AKIRA sorority spokeswoman and a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Along with my passion for fashion, I thrive off of photography and traveling. These three aspects play a big role in my life on campus and I’m so happy to incorporate them into my internship for CollegeFashionista. Look out ladies and gents, I’m coming for ya!
