STYLE GURU BIO: Natalie Barletta

Hi there everyone! My name is Natalie Barletta and I am happy to be returning as a Style Guru for the fall semester. I was a Style Guru this past summer for CollegeFashionista and enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to return this fall. I am a senior who is majoring in Journalism and minoring in Creative Writing.

When I’m not crafting the perfect article for CollegeFashionista, I can be found blogging, working at my school’s library or working on my latest article as a staff writer for my hometown newspaper. I am extremely passionate about writing. Right now, my career goal is to become a writer for a music magazine such as Rolling Stone and interview famous musicians.

I guess you can say my style can be classified as being basic with a bit of a feminine touch. I could be found combing the racks of T.J.Maxx looking for the perfect find; however, I also am a huge fan of the LC by Lauren Conrad collection. When it comes to style, I like to have fun with it and make sure my outfit reflects my personality.  I am always carrying a lot of stuff throughout the semester, so I am never without a tote bag. The finishing touch for any outfit is, of course, jewelry; it adds a bit of a personal touch. I believe that an outfit is never complete without a little bit of sparkle.

As we head into the fall semester, the heat from the summer still lingers. So, for the first few weeks of the semester, I’ll be wearing sundresses and capri pants. This outfit was inspired by Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. With a little black dress and simple black flats, I am ready for classes, work at my school’s library or a fun night out with friends. I added a personal touch with my favorite delicate jewelry, which includes a necklace, pearl stud earrings, black leather watch and my favorite bangle bracelet.

I am so excited to report on the styles on my campus as we progress through the fall semester.
