Hey Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Natalie Arth and this is my third semester being s Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! I couldn’t be more excited to express my love and interest for fashion and photography with another opportunity this semester. I am currently a student at the University of Iowa, studying enterprise leadership with a certificate in event planning. What inspires me the most about fashion and photography is being able to express oneself through an outfit or look. An outfit or even a photograph can tell a story, capture a memory, and allow someone to express their creativity and personality.
For my outfit, I am wearing a black velvet jacket and dark wash denim. I decided to focus my outfit on the jacket I am wearing, velvet is making a come back in today’s fashion and I’m loving the outfit inspirations and bodysuits you can find. The detailing on this jacket is perfect for a statement jacket with the lace-up detailing on the sleeves and the side makes this jacket the perfect item to wear going out, wearing casual, or dressing up with a dress and tights in the winter months. I am wearing a staple V-neck shirt, making this look a more casual and effortless look with it’s oversized and slouchy look that is perfect paired with this jacket and jeans or even leggings with a distressed jean jacket. Lastly, I have accessorized with a bow choker and gold ring, that exemplifies an edgy and feminine feel.
