STYLE GURU BIO: Natalie Arms

Hi, I’m Natalie! I was raised in Northern Michigan in a small town on the bay of Lake Michigan. I’ve been raised to have an easy-going life, which is represented in my style. My summers on the lakes consisted of boat shoes, shep shirts and bonfires on the cool summer nights. My outfits always included a bathing suite for daily trips to the beach.

I am a senior at Western Michigan University, studying Fashion Merchandising and Business. I’ve had opportunities to work in numerous retail stores including a local surf shop, or DSW where my shoe addiction thrived. My internships have allowed me to style upwards of 20 models for fashion shows along with providing input in local buying meetings. In my free time you can find me anywhere with my sorority sisters. Typically raiding through each others closets to find the perfect outfit for a night out!

My style is a simple, classic feel while experimenting with different trends. Since I’ve gone away to college I have been able to see so many different cultures on our campus. I have attempted to free myself from the preppy style and add some edge. My favorites consist of all black everything, gold accessories and flannels. When spring and summer come around I always find myself going back to my neutral roots fulfilling the lake style.

This is my first semester as a Style Guru! I am so excited to be a member of the CollegeFashionista team where I hope to share the styles of my community. I look forward to learning more from all the Fashionista/o’s here! Watch for my posts every Friday!
