School is starting back up, and just like you should hit the ground running with your assignments, you should do the same with your style. My name is Natalie Altieri, and this is my third semester with CollegeFashionista at the University of Cincinnati. In the past I’ve written for LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS and STYLE GURU STYLE. This fall semester, I look forward to showing you how to sport even more of your favorite fall trends.
With fall comes a mixture of extremes. From the hot humid air to the brutal bitter cold, we see all sorts of trend transformations. One day, you’re walking to class in your favorite T-shirt dress and booties and the next your digging your favorite parka and cold weather scarves out of winter storage. Whatever the weather throws at us, I’ll help you ease into those transformations and incorporate this season’s trends into your everyday style.
This past summer, I was able to combine one of my favorite past time activities with the column I was writing. STYLE GURU STYLE was a column where I would choose a specific designer’s collection and created a look based off of trends and styles seen in one of their runway shows. Although I get a fair amount of my style inspiration from runway trends, I also get inspiration from my cultural surroundings. This summer, I was able to travel abroad with my family to Italy, Austria and Germany. Seeing the cultural settings and natives from those countries gave me inspiration and ideas that I was eager to incorporate into my style. On any given day I can be seen sporting the basics with a flair. I love combining neutral toned garments with a pop of glam to create a simple crisp day-to-day look.
Being a Fashion Design major, I have a particular interest in fall and winter styles. That being said, I look forward to bringing you a variety of looks and trends that you can incorporate into your own unique style.
