Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Natalie Alexander and I am currently a junior at North Carolina State University where I am majoring in communication with a public relations concentration. This summer is going to be a little different for me because I will be studying abroad for six weeks. I will be taking a Fashion Merchandising and Marketing class while traveling to some of the famous fashion capitals of the world, including Paris and Milan. I have no doubt I will find some amazing Fashionistas/os wandering the streets of Europe and have high hopes in attaining some European fashion tips along the way.

Originally born to a Southern gal from Arkansas and a city boy from Washington, D.C., I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina when I was two years old. Nineteen years later, you can still find me residing in the City of Oaks. Although my setting has not changed, I would definitely say my style has evolved and continues to change as I have gotten older. Having been forced to wear the same ole’ uniform to school during elementary school, and then put under a strict dress code for middle school, I came to appreciate having my own style once I entered high school. Since then, my love for clothing and jewelry has become more of an obsession, as I constantly find whatever excuse to online shop or make a trip to the local boutiques to see what new trends have arrived for the upcoming season.

Overall, I would describe my style as bohemian with an edgy flare. I love choosing neutrals and adding details with layered pendant necklaces along with fun gladiator sandals or my go-to strapped wedges. I believe that everyone should own at least one kimono, a variety of V-neck shirts, a fitted crop top and ripped skinny jeans. During the day, I always opt for a comfortable outfit to throw on, whether it is my worn in denim shorts or my newest favorite Donajo Fitwear leggings.

Although I’ve resided in Raleigh for quite some time, I’m excited to venture across the pond in June and see what fashion inspirations I will find. From London, Paris, Milan and Florence to Venice, Rome, Vienna, Prague and Barcelona, I have faith I will develop a better sense of the fashion world through another set of lenses. I’m excited for what this summer has to offer and I hope you are too!
