Hey, Fashionistas! My name is Monica Dang and I am a Finance Major at George Mason University.
I have always been a firm believer that life is short, so you might as well spend that time doing what you love. I have been really into fashion ever since my sophomore year of high school. Clothes and style tell other people a bit about who you are without having to speak. You could be daring and adventurous when it comes to mixing prints, or more reserved and stick to classic shades and minimalistic details. When it comes to my personal style, there’s not one trend that dominates my whole closet.
My outfit that is featured displays a trend that I find myself frequently going back to during the summertime. It represents three key elements that I look for when picking out clothes that I want to wear: free-spirited, comfortable and put together. I am wearing a pair of wide-legged pants that are extremely comfortable and figure flattering on any body type. Because I wanted the outfit to be focused more on the bold print, I kept the rest of the outfit neutral. I thought this black off-the-shoulder cropped top would do just that while still looking put together.
Becoming a Style Guru will be the first time to allow myself to showcase my love for writing, photography and fashion and I couldn’t be any more excited. I can’t wait to share my articles with you!
