STYLE GURU BIO: Molly Nicholas

Hey everyone! My name is Molly Nicholas, and I am a junior at Miami University. This is my second semester with CollegeFashionista, and I’m really excited to photograph and write about all the fashion trends coming this spring!

Although I go to school in Ohio, I’m actually from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! I am a journalism major with two minors in marketing and fashion design! At school, I love to online shop, binge-watch Netflix, and hangout with my best friends in our cute little apartment uptown. I take pride in my VIB Rouge status at Sephora and love watching beauty bloggers to keep up with the latest trends in makeup. I am also slightly obsessed with Jessie James Decker and anything she does.

My love of fashion started when I was really young and probably developed from stealing anything I could get my hands on in my mom’s closet. When it comes to shopping, my mom and I are partners in crime at the mall. I never really like to shop for outfits and my worst fear is going to the mall in search of a specific item. When looking for a certain type of clothing, I never find it, but if I’m just shopping for fun, I want it all. That aside, I love finding random items and putting them with clothes I already have in my closet, rather than buying a matching outfit. I feel this makes my wardrobe more versatile and fun. My favorite brands lately are Free People, BB Dakota, Topshop, and Lululemon for workout gear, but I like to rely on Nordstrom’s selection also.

The outfit I’ve chosen for this post consists of a black, bell sleeve blouse, faux-leather leggings, layered necklaces, and suede booties. This outfit has been a staple for me lately because leather leggings are so comfortable, but easy to wear casually or dress up for going out at night! Recreating it from your own closet is really simple: all you need is a cute blouse, leggings, and a pair of booties!

Stay tuned for more trends to come!
