STYLE GURU BIO: Mirelle Hassler

Hey, everyone!  My name is Mirelle Hassler and I’m a junior at Penn State. This is going to be my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to share some more of my own style and to display awesome looks from other Fashionista/os around campus. So far, I’ve really enjoyed my experience and can’t wait to see what’s in store for this upcoming semester!

Now, for a little bit about myself. I’m from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I’m a communication arts and sciences major, and am minoring in media studies. In my free time I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends, traveling, spending time with family, taking photographs, and binge-watching Netflix.

I think my appreciation for fashion started when I realized how it allows individuals to express themselves and their creativity daily. I can wake up and choose an outfit that fits my mood for that day or I can change an outfit’s vibe by mixing up the accessories and shoes. Fashion allows for so much creativity and expression, and I love that about it. That is probably why my style changes frequently, because there are so many different looks and clothes to explore.

The outfit that I chose to wear in the above photos consists of high-waisted jeans, a black off-the-shoulder top, black over-the-knee boots, a red and black jacket, and a brown accent belt. This outfit is casual enough to wear every day, but would also be perfect for a night out, especially now that the weather is colder. The black, blue, and maroon are perfect winter colors. The brown belt acts as an accent to the black theme of colors. This is currently my favorite outfit and I’ve found tons of great occasions to wear it for, from going out on the town to winter trips to NYC.

Thanks so much for reading!
