Hi, lovelies! My name is Mikenna, and I am so excited to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. This fall, I will be a junior at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, majoring in English with a concentration in Management Studies. I may spend most of the year in the Midwest tundra, but Seattle will forever be my home, and that is where I will be blogging this summer!
Growing up in Washington, I definitely have a more West Coast, edgy vibe. You can usually find me in my Aritzia sweater, gray beanie and black booties. However, I am constantly mixing and matching my clothes and trying new looks. As a dancer, I am obsessed with workout clothes that translate easily into a cute day outfit. Right now, my favorite thing to do is throw my flowy shorts over a ballet leotard. With the sun finally out, my closest is filled with my favorite backless dresses and high-rise shorts. I also love sunglasses way too much.
Even if I am not at the dance studio, I am always dancing. It is impossible for me to sit still. I also love music and outdoor concerts. Music festivals are my haven because I can enjoy my favorite bands, dance all day and put together great festival looks. If you are attending any concerts in the Seattle area this summer, I will be the girl in the red sun hat!
I am thrilled to be interning at CollegeFashionista this summer. I am excited to show my own passion for fashion, as well as capture the unique styles of other Fashionista/os. Recently, I was accepted to study abroad in Milan, where I will be studying marketing and fashion this spring semester. I can’t wait to explore the world of fashion, and I hope to work in the industry after college.
