STYLE GURU BIO: Michelle Paoletta

September 1st, 2016 at 2:00am

Hey there, fellow fashion lovers! My name is Michelle Paoletta and I am a senior majoring in communications at Southern Connecticut State University. This is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and I am so excited to be a part of the team and see what this semester has in store for me!

Although I do not go to a fashion school, fashion has always been a passion of mine. It all started when I began watching The Rachel Zoe Project. I was hooked on the first episode and knew immediately that when I got older I wanted to work in the fashion industry. From that day forward, I was always looking for ways to get inspiration for different outfit ideas such as magazines, online blogs, etc. I even had stacks of Teen Vogue magazines in my room and made sure I always got a new issue every month to add to my collection.

I don’t have a specific style, I just like to wear whatever catches my eye. One day you’ll find me wearing distressed jeans and a vintage band T-shirt, and then the next day you’ll find me wearing a dress and strappy sandals. This fall, you’ll find me wearing leggings, oversized sweaters and different styles of boots and booties usually in neutral and fall toned colors. Some of my current favorite stores to shop are: ASOS, Zara, Forever 21, Missguided and Brandy Melville, just to name a few.

My current fashion inspiration comes from fashion bloggers on Instagram. I am always looking through their pages to find new ways to spice up my outfits and use it as an excuse to update my wardrobe (even though I already own enough clothes as it is). My favorite bloggers at the moment are Sincerely Jules and We wore What. You’ll always find me checking their pages to see what the latest fashion trends are and obsessing over their outfits. Maybe one day, I’ll muster up the courage to start a fashion blog of my own.

Until then, I can’t wait to see where this internship takes me and look forward to seeing and sharing the latest fall fashion trends with you guys. Hope you all have a rad semester!
