STYLE GURU BIO: Michelle Igdalev

Hi Fashionistas/os! At this point I feel like you all know me, but I am coming back for my third and final semester with CollegeFashionista. Unfortunately, this girl is moving into the real world, aka graduating, and will no longer be strictly a Style Guru—shoutout to the alumni association. However it being my last semester with the team, I will make sure that it is the best one yet!

I go to New York University and study at Gallatin, The School of Individualized Study. Basically this just means I created my own concentration and will graduate with my own, unique major. For me, this was perfect because my interests were in fashion, business and medicine—a bit of a tongue twister, I know. I have had a crazy four years working in the industry. You name a position in fashion and I probably have already tried it. My perspective is that the more careers I try out, the more likely I will be to find my niche.

In terms of style, I am not a one trend kind of girl. Yes, I love black. Yes, I rock a leather jacket. Yes, you can catch me wearing a button-down. But I don’t fit into the category of rocker chick, let alone preppy or bohemian or even classic. Just like my individualized major at New York University, my style is made up of a bunch of different aspects of me. Considering the crazy warm weather we’ve been experiencing, this season I will be mixing and matching weather appropriate and season appropriate clothing. Like this outfit, maybe a mini dress with a cozy cardigan jacket. Or possibly a thick turtleneck with a short skirt. Maybe even jeans, a crop top, and a light duster. The possibilities are endless!

I am so excited for you all to follow me on my final journey at CollegeFashionista to find the chicest styles and coolest peeps on the streets of New York University!
