My name is Michelle Dufflocq. I am a sophomore majoring in business at the University of Montana and I am addicted to fashion. I am not quite sure when this addiction began but I have a clear memory of being around 5 years old and picking out my own outfit for my family’s Christmas lunch. I remember picking out my dress, my tights and my shoes, feeling so proud and so confident. And that was it, I was in love. Honestly, not much has changed since that very moment.
I have to say, I’m a girly girl at heart. My nails are nearly always painted, I carry far too many lip products in my school bag and my heart skips a beat when I hear the name “kate spade.” As far as my personal style goes, I usually stick to feminine pieces, but I love incorporating elements from other styles as well. I am obsessed with floral dresses and circle skirts but I also can’t say no to a nice leather jacket or a cool muscle tee.
When I am not filing up my cart online with massive amounts of clothing that I will never actually buy, I am probably on some form of social media, singing ballads around my kitchen, or filming a beauty or fashion YouTube video with my sister. Other obsessions include: cats, the Internet, traveling and brunch.
After being a Style Guru intern on CollegeFashionista for the first time last semester, I am absolutely thrilled to be back for the summer, writing STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK posts again every Monday. I am both humbled and honored to have such an amazing opportunity writing for such an incredible website that allows me to pursue a future in fashion.
