My name is Michelle and I am a senior at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. I am studying business and marketing with the hopes of one day working in the fashion industry in New York City. NYC stole my heart when I spent a summer interning at a design firm in the heart of the city. To me, it really isn’t a city, but more like an entire world that I adore so much. I was able to explore my passion for the fashion industry even more when I studied abroad in Florence, Italy last spring. Doing an internship here introduced me to a whole new world of fashion that I couldn’t have imagined! Writing is another huge interest of mine, and I got to explore this more when I worked as an editorial intern at a magazine in Pittsburgh. Think The Devil Wears Prada, but much less scary! It was the turning point for me to further realize my dream.
My style is mostly preppy and classic, but I like to switch it up with a little edge now and then. A few of the staple items in my closet include my monogram necklace, gold watch, riding boots, leather leggings, statement necklaces and vests of all kinds. I count shopping as my cardio workout (don’t all shopaholics?).
I am beyond excited to be a Style Guru this semester and introduce CollegeFashionista to my campus! Most days I am rushing to class, but having this internship will give me the opportunity to take a closer look at how my classmates use personal style to express themselves. I can’t think of a better way to end my college career than being a Style Guru!
