STYLE GURU BIO: Mia Amaranto

Hello, hello! My name is Mia Amaranto from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA and after taking the summer off, I’m so excited to be back on board for my fourth semester as a Style Guru this Fall! I will forever be grateful for this opportunity to write about what I love and share it with others who have the same passion as me. Not only has this given me the chance to continuously improve and add to my talents and skills, but I’ve also met some pretty inspiring individuals from all over the country. Through this internship, I’ve learned from industry professionals that I wouldn’t be able to connect with elsewhere.

When I started this internship in the spring of my freshman year, I was unsure with my career path and I didn’t know what direction I wanted to take my passions to. However, as I continued to write, photograph and connect with other Style Gurus and students I also began to learn and discover more about myself and where my strengths are. Even though I still have a long way to go, I’m thankful for where I am now and it’s exciting to see what this season has in store!

Expressing individuality through style is one of the things I look forward in capturing this fall, as well as getting to know more Style Gurus from across the nation. I am excited to get more insight in the fashion and business industry and of course, all the new and exciting trends I’ll get to document this season! I mean, who isn’t excited for sweater weather? To help me transition into the cooler temperatures, I stuck with a classic light wash denim jacket, a simple cami, a cute pair of peep-toe booties and to tie it all up, everyone’s latest favorite neck accessory, a bandana!
Seeing all the transition pieces for this season is going to be great so stay in touch and stay tuned I’ve got a lot of fall fashion coming your way!
