Hello, Fashionistas/os! I am Mely Patron and I am entering my final year as a psychology and a studio art major at Hunter College in New York City. This is my first semester here at CollegeFashionista and I could not be more excited to be a part of such an amazing team!
Fashion is extremely important to me and it didn’t hit me until recently that I wanted to pursue it as a career. Ever since I was young, I’ve found that fashion is such a fun way to express myself in a way that makes me feel more confident and beautiful.
There isn’t a specific word to describe my style. My style is constantly evolving because I take so much inspiration from many different fashion styles around the world. Nowadays, I like to wear comfortable and affordable clothing that usually has a neutral palette. I also love mixing it up with classic accessories that really elevate the entire look. Speaking of accessories, I am particularly obsessed with handbags! I love splurging on them and I really do believe that a handbag can entirely change one’s look. I guess you can say that I am that crazy bag lady.
If I’m not in school, I’m probably working at some random part-time job to fund my love for fashion (especially handbags). Other than that, I love going to museums all over the city, random restaurants where I can stuff my face all day long and of course, places where I can shop for even more clothes (and handbags)!
