STYLE GURU BIO: Meghan Eberlein

As the new year rolls in and the new semester begins I like to look back on my style from the previous year. As time goes on, my closet is constantly changing. New pieces added and old pieces donated. I love donating my old clothes so others can get more use out of them. I have acquired a multitude of new pieces throughout the past year and my style has even changed a little. I have been inspired by other CollegeFashionista Style Gurus. Everyone has such a different taste and it has even helped me to better my sense of style. I keep up with the trends through magazines and online, but by becoming a Style Guru, I have learned so much more through the community.

As much as I like to follow the trends, I also like to create my own sense of style. Walking through the city or around my campus, I often people watch. You can learn a lot about a person from their clothing. Yet I often find my sense of style varies drastically. One day I will dress preppy and the next in all black.

My style is ever-changing which makes it hard for me to categorize myself, but I don’t think that it is a bad thing. I think it is nice to switch it up every once in awhile. Dressing for different occasions with a widespread variety in my closet is much easier. I picked some of my favorite pieces here because they are stylish and comfortable. My favorite suede jacket paired with a simple white sweater and black jeans is great for many different occasions. Simple black Steve Madden sneakers and a black choker help dress the outfit down for a day on the town. My favorite beaded clutch adds some color and texture. This is one of my favorite outfits, and as the new year progresses, I hope to continue growing into multiple styles yet stay true to myself. I can’t wait to see what the new year and new semester brings but most of all I’m excited to see all the new trends my fellow Fashionistas have to offer!
