STYLE GURU BIO: Megan Zelasko

Hey guys! My name is Megan and I am a Fashion Design major at Kent State University. This will be my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I am super excited to continue writing about the fashionable students on my campus.

Being a Fashion Design major, I like to spend my time in clothes that are comfortable, but also stylish. I live for cozy knee-high socks and my black ankle booties. My personal style could probably be described as feminine and classic, but with a modern twist. Sometimes my personal style mimics a schoolgirl uniform, which I blame on my four years spent at a Catholic high school. In this post, I am wearing a button-down shirt paired with a gray cardigan. I’m also wearing black leather leggings combined with my favorite black booties. To top it all off, I wore a black classic peacoat with a hood.

I do like to step out of my comfort zone with fashion; when trends appear I like to be open minded and give them a try. The thing that makes fashion so special is that it changes over time according to our culture. We change and grow, just as our fashion sense does, and it’s important that we keep our style up to date with who we are. Fashion is so wonderful because we are able to successfully express ourselves through what we are wearing. This semester I encourage you to experiment with fashion; who knows, you could be featured in an article on CollegeFashionista. Stay fashionable, my friends!
