STYLE GURU BIO: Megan Quist

Hello fellow fashion lovers! I am Megan Quist and this is my fourth semester with CollegeFashionista! Time flies, and I cannot believe that this fall I will be a senior at The University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I have aspirations of becoming a buyer, and will be a merchant analyst intern for Kohl’s Corporate this summer! When the time comes to apply for full time jobs, I will do all that I can to become a New York resident. Last week I attended a study tour class in NYC for a week and absolutely fell in love with the city.

Being a retail merchandising major, clothes have always been a passion of mine. I would say that my personality is pretty outgoing, but I can be shy around people I do not know. But, my style has always been a voice of mine. Ever since high school hit, I was highly influenced by the TV show Gossip Girl. Obsessing over high end designer names, plaids and headbands. Working at Saks Fifth Ave OFF 5th throughout college, I have had the opportunity to finally purchase some of these designer brands with my beautiful employee discount. In my free time I also love to follow the lives of successful Fashionistas and Fashionistos out there, and some have even been included in #OfficeHours and the podcasts, such as Kristie Dash.

My personal style cannot ever be categorized, as it changes daily. For this particular outfit I am in a French Connection gray pleated skirt. I love this piece because it can easily be dressed up or down for any occasion. Although I have never been to Paris, my crop top is from Forever 21 and has great detailing in the back! This shirt is perfect for any 90 degree day. Wedge lace-up shoes are ALWAYS a go-to for me, and they are surprisingly comfortable! A trick is to look for some on Amazon. There are so many cheap replicas of designer names on Amazon. To keep the sun away I put on a floppy fedora which is from Target (Target is always my impulse buy store). Ray-Bans are always key and go with pretty much anything, the same goes for nude lips as well.

For accessories, Alex and Ani is always a fun way to bring life to an outfit! I love how each charm has a personal meaning to myself. Lastly, I always must include at least one piece of Marc Jacobs in each of my daily ensembles. Featured is a Marc Jacobs black and gold bangle, along with a Darci Pave black Michael Kors watch.

I cannot wait for another summer with CollegeFasionista, sharing multiple personal stylish aesthetics!
