This will be my third semester writing for CollegeFashionista, and I couldn’t be happier! I have had the time of my life scouting out and writing about Fashionistas and Fashionistos I see in my daily life. As my writing and observation skills evolve with each weekly article, my style is constantly evolving as well.
I am coming back from an amazing and life changing semester in London, and returning to school as a second semester junior will definitely be an adjustment. Living in a city was so amazing, and going back to live in somewhat suburban Massachusetts will probably be the hardest thing to get used to. London is a city known for its fashion, and I’m not claiming Boston is by any means inherently unfashionable, it simply does not compare.
What I’m wearing in this post is pretty much the epitome of my wardrobe. Growing up in a very preppy family, those ties always seem to show through in my current style. Layering is something I always use, as I love having the ability to take off a layer and have a completely new look (and temperature). The blazer should come by no surprise to those who know me, as I am a bit obsessed with them. I also recently have been loving juxtaposing different pieces in an outfit to create a completely different feel. For example, today I am wearing a chambray shirt with a semi-formal rest of my outfit. I think this keeps me interested and on my toes in my wardrobe choices.
I can’t wait to see what Fashionistas and Fashionistos will be wearing this semester at Stonehill!
