I can’t believe this is my fifth Style Guru Bio post and next week will be the first day of my senior year—the beginning of a year of “lasts.” For example, this is my last time writing for the fall for CollegeFashionista, my last time moving into my small little room in the blazing summer heat, spending the rest of the day unpacking and yelling to friends upstairs/across the hall/down the street and my last fall stomping my boots across the beautiful Stonehill campus. I don’t mean to be a downer, but even though I am itching to graduate and dive headfirst into pursuing everything I have worked for, I have a feeling that I’ll be getting quite nostalgic in the next couple of months.
This past summer I was lucky enough to have many internships that have all given me great insight into what I could do after that dreaded May day where I will be kicked out of the Stonehill nest and thrust into the real world. One of those aforementioned internships was the editorial internship with CollegeFashionista! It was honestly so amazing not only for the opportunities it afforded me and the experience I gained, but also having and taking the time to read what other Style Gurus at other schools are writing. The busy semester doesn’t usually allow much time for this, so it was so cool! I am so fortunate to be a part of an organization with such talented writers.
I have a strong feeling this semester will be jam-packed with not only classes, extra-curriculars and internships, but also a lot of preparing for the real world–including what my mom calls “building a professional wardrobe;” something that scares the casual wear right off me!
