Hi all, my name is McKenna; my home university is Oregon State University, but I am currently studying abroad in Singapore for the fall term! I am a very proactive person, who loves to challenge myself by doing things that are pretty crazy and out of my comfort zone. Moving to Singapore is one of them! I hadn’t really even heard of Singapore (other than from movies like Pirates of the Caribbean) before deciding to study here on a whim last winter. So far it’s been great! A lot of my style tips will include coping with the hot weather and humidity here; it is very humid, between 70-90 percent.
I have always had a passion for fashion and was voted best dressed in high school. I would describe my go-to style as bohemian, but I also enjoy experimenting with current trends. Some of my favorite stores include Free People and Urban Outfitters. I think that with fashion it is important to draw from others what inspires you, while sticking to your own personality and wearing what makes you feel good. It’s important to be honest with yourself about your body type and the clothes that will look good on you.
As I previously said I love to push myself and take on lots of interesting hobbies, including modeling, running marathons and becoming a certified Baptiste yoga instructor.
To the outside world, I may seem like a mature adult with many accomplishments, but anyone who knows me well can attest that I am just a lovable little goofball. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my boyfriend and family, listening to/watching comedy and doing anything that involves playing with animals!
