Hey, Fashionista/os! My name is Masoma Imasogie, but my family and friends call me Mas. I joined the Collegefashionista Style Guru family second semester of my freshman year in Washington D.C. at George Washington University. Since then, a couple things have changed. I finished my freshman year at GWU and will be transferring to the University of Pennsylvania in the fall. At UPenn, I am planning on majoring in Communications with a minor in Fine Arts, and if all goes as planned, I will be continuing my fashion career. However, before all that “fun” academic stuff begins, I get to have an amazing summer and share my summer outfits with you guys!
This summer I will be taking on the new STYLE GURU STYLE category showcased every Tuesday. Oh, and if you thought transferring from GWU to UPenn was crazy, check this out — this summer I will also be interning with a showroom in Los Angeles, California!
In the past, I’ve interned in a children’s boutique and even worked backstage at D.C. Fashion Week, but eventually, I aspire to style celebs. I would love to work for E! or The Style Network and be able to have a job were I can mix social media, pop culture and, of course, fashion. Until then, I will try my hardest to keep you updated with all you need to know about fashion, style and strutting to the beat of your own drum.
I get asked all the time to categorize my style, and to me, thats like someone asking me to pick my favorite Beyoncé song. It just cannot be done. However, I can tell you a few things regarding my style. My top three favorite stores are without a doubt: Zara, Topshop and Madewell. Some people that inspire my style are: Kylie Jenner (Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian), Vanessa Hudgens and Lauren Conrad. My favorite youtube Fashionistas are: Dulce Candy, Meghan Rosette and Lauren Elizabeth and my favorite blogs at the moment are: i hate blonde, Lovely Pepa and WEWOREWHAT. See the combination of all that inspiration by clicking: my Instagram.
So anyways, I just wanted to say hey, and express my extreme excitement to be apart of the CollegeFashionista family. I cant wait to showcase my style to all of you! For now, I’ll leave you with a quote from one of my favorite fashion icons: Coco Chanel. “Fashion fades, only style remains the same.”
