Hi everyone, my name is Marissa Dodd. This is my fifth semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and my first semester being a part of the Social Media Society. I am a senior at Liberty University studying business marketing and promotions with a minor in clothing and textiles. Through working for CollegeFashionista I have been able to really reach out of my comfort zone, especially through my style and social media platforms. My fellow Style Gurus are so motivational and so inspiring to my everyday life. Some of my interests include drinking coffee, concert-going, traveling, and avidly scrolling through Instagram.
I have always had a love for fashion simply because it is the easiest way to express myself. Throughout college, I can certainly say that I have had my fair share of different styles and finding what I feel the most comfortable in and what best expresses my personality. I am fond of the simple things in life and my style and color palette tend to be fairly minimal, incorporating a lot of neutrals. My outfit inspiration arrays from the Free People and Madewell catalogs as well as their Instagrams. For this outfit, I threw on a cozy white turtleneck sweater with a pair of classic black jeans. Then to add a little something extra, I added a plaid scarf and a pair of brown booties.
