Hi Fashionistas/os! I’m Marie. I’m currently a junior at Marist College. I’m originally from Long Island, but I will be spending the spring semester in Florence, Italy! I’m studying Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Business and a minor in Product Development. A few of my favorite things are cheerleading, puffy vests, the beach, kittens and obviously, fashion!
My favorite seasons for fashion are winter and spring, so I’m excited I get to write for CollegeFashionista throughout these two seasons. As shown, my favorite items for winter are coats and booties, because I think they both dress up any boring winter outfit. My all time favorite piece to complete any outfit is a big statement necklace.
I don’t have one particular style, but I like simple-chic outfits. I’m very open to trying new things; I find most of my inspiration for fashion on Pinterest and I love experimenting with different styles. I love the idea of CollegeFashionista because it combines all things that I love; fashion, photography and social media and gives all of us Style Gurus a chance to show everyone trends on our campuses.
I can’t wait to study in Florence next semester and be able to immerse myself in a new culture with different trends and styles than I’m not used to. While I’m there, will be traveling to different cities and countries throughout Europe and will be posting as much of it as possible to give everyone a taste of what fashion is like in different places.
I’m so excited for my first semester as a Style Guru Intern and I can’t wait to show everyone fashion from Florence!
