STYLE GURU BIO: Mariah Moorer

Hello, darlings! My name is Mariah, and I’m a freshman studying the wonderful world we like to call fashion merchandising at Kent State University. Ever since birth I’ve loved all things fashion! I’ve been walking around in my grandmother’s stilettos since the age of two, and I must say not much has changed 16 years later! This will be my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the team! Though fashion consumes most of my downtime, I’m also a foodie! I love trying new foods, cupcakes especially!

If you could describe my style you’d call me the ultimate girly girl! My style is the perfect mix of Chanel N°1 and Whitley Gilbert; chic, yet modest. My wardrobe essentials consist of ruffles, off-the-shoulder ANYTHING, fur, and the color pink. I’m a firm believer that it’s okay to still be modest and cute! You don’t have to have your entire behind showing to be trendy! Being a young lady is still in style, and I like to reflect that principle in the way I dress.

For this look I decided to mix two colors that many would turn their noses up to. I paired my favorite navy-blue collar-less faux fur jacket with the cutest little black dress with a bow tied to the front to add my own flare of girliness! To make the look appear a bit more sophisticated, I added a pair of classic black pointed toe pumps. I found a cute pair of red cat ears (found in the children’s section) to add a pop of quirkiness to my look.

I hope you all enjoy this look as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you!
