I like french bulldogs, photography and long walks on the beach…oh, it’s not that kind of biography you say? Well in that case, allow me to reintroduce myself. As you can see, my name is Maria Isabel Gomez. I am a returning Style Guru and this is my third semester writing for the best college street style website on the World Wide Web. I have grown so fond of CollegeFashionista that not only do I write for the website, but I am also a marketing intern in the New York City office this semester.
I currently attend Hunter College, located in Midtown Manhattan, as a Media Studies major with a very strong interest in pursuing a career in marketing. New York City has been the backdrop to my life for as long as I can remember. If you didn’t already know I was a New Yorker, my fast-paced walking would probably give me away in an instant. In fact, one of my pet peeves is having to weave through slow walkers on the street. It’s true when they say that New Yorkers are always on the run. This truly is the City That Never Sleeps.
Don’t get me wrong, one of my favorite hobbies includes sitting back and people watching to observe the amazing fashion our streets have to offer. With people from so many different cultures and backgrounds in this city, it’s amazing to see how one standard way of dressing of dressing doesn’t exist, and that is very refreshing. Over the years my personal style has fluxuated greatly. To this day, I am a nonconformist when it comes to choosing one style—I love it all! I can always rock out in my favorite combat boots
, prance around in a sundress
or even wear them both at the same time with a cute statement necklace. There is no method to my madness.
I want to thank Amy and Sammy for giving me the opportunity to intern with them and the rest of the CollegeFashionista team for having me back this semester. Sit back, tune in and relax as I keep bringing you more awesome street style and outfit inspiration. After all, the sky is the limit on CollegeFashionista.
