Hi everyone! I’m Mallory and I’m a sophomore at Loyola University Chicago studying Advertising/Public Relations and International Studies. This is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and I’m excited to share this experience with you all. At Loyola I had an amazing first year in the city: I met some of my best friends, explored Chicago, and probably ate my weight in pizza.
Before coming to Chicago, I lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Growing up, I’d watch MTV and the The Devil Wears Prada on repeat, being completely enthralled by the world of fashion and pop culture. My personal style has changed a lot over the years. From feeling too punk-rock for school, to uniforms, I think I’ve found myself and my personal style in wearing more casual and classic outfits. Usually, you can find me in a striped sweater from my collection that’s constantly growing. Being from the northeast, I like to look more polished when I go out, but also love mixing fun accessories and vintage pieces into my wardrobe.
Aside from my love of fashion, I am slightly music obsessed and attend concerts in the city as much as I can. Luckily, there’s always something to see in such a big city! This year in Chicago has given me a whole new appreciation for live music and the art scene. I’m so grateful to be in a place that’s given me so many unforgettable memories and I can’t wait for what’s to come.
