My name is Madison Nagy and I am sophomore student studying marketing at Pennsylvania State University. I am so excited to begin my second semester with CollegeFashionista. Last semester I wrote for the WHAT TO WEAR column and enjoyed every second of it! I love roaming around campus searching for as many Fashionista’s and Fashionisto’s that I can find, and cannot wait to see what’s in store this semester.
Now, I will be writing the STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK, so keep a look out for my posts each Monday. While I do enjoy selecting outfits in advance for various occasions, a more predominant passion of mine is researching and predicting trends. Spending hours on Style.com going through the countless ready-to-wear and couture images are some of the most thrilling moments of my days. Sitting around with a nice cup of coffee in hand and access to the best fashion shows in the world – I mean come on, what can be better than that?
While centrally located in Pennsylvania, my big fabulous fashion moments tend to happen more when I am shopping online or at home on break. Give me a big fur coat, a felt floppy hat or an incredible jumpsuit, and you’re sure to see my face instantly light up. Black and white are my go-to colors and from the looks of my closet, I can never seem to have enough. This past fall I have watched my pile of pants overflow. More and more I am stacking up on boyfriend jeans, drawstring trousers and, of course, faux leather leggings.
Trends are constantly changing and being revamped, and I can’t wait to report on the latest treasures of the season. So, when you’re looking to find what’s hot and what’s not, make sure to follow my style advice, and in no time you’ll be looking college chic every day of the week!
