I have always loved looking my best no matter where I wander. The ensembles that I desire to wear make me confident in my looks and in my personality. My fashion sense always produces something different depending on the day and occasion. I have often been teased for always being “too dressed up,” but I love looking trendy and stylish to my peers because it makes me feel great about myself. I feel that it is essential to trust what is exclusive and distinctive about yourself, even if it is anomalous or disliked by others.
Among some of my fashionable faves are anything and everything gold. Gold is a timeless classic color of elegance and pure beauty. I also love chunky necklaces paired with a solid blouse or shirt. Recently, since I have been attending a school in the South, I have found a love for over-sized sweaters matched with tan riding boots and a bushy scarf for fall. My all time favorite outfit sporting my emerald (the color of the year) leggings under any busy top from Ann Taylor LOFT.
My go-to places to shop have to be Forever 21, Express, H&M, Ann Taylor LOFT, Target and Victoria’s Secret. Each store has a different flavor, which I love to explore. Piecing items from unalike stores with one another is something I do to make my looks truly unique.
My adornment of fashion came to be when I started to pay more attention to my Teen Vogue, Seventeen and Glamour magazines. I knew sewing and crafting my own look by thread and pattern was not the route for me, so I decided to go into Graphic Designing with a Fashion Emphasis. I dream of becoming a Fashion Editor at a top fashion magazine company where I can put my own creativity onto paper. I want for all the other Fashionistas and Fashionistos around the world to be visually appealed to what I place together for a fashion magazine.
I am really looking forward to this internship with College Fashionista. Especially with me being from up North in Illinois and doing this internship in Mississippi, it will certainly be a new experience for me that will open my eyes to the diverse fashions from state to state. I hope this opportunity will open more doors for me to get my sense of style and opinions out into the fashion world.
I currently attend the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS. I am eight hours from my hometown in Bloomington, IL. At Ole Miss, I am a Journalism Major with an Art Minor and a Fashion Emphasis. I plan to show the college community all the fun fashion statements Ole Miss has to offer!
